The Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, ELCA

Rocky Mountain Synod ELCA

WE ARE CHRIST'S CHURCH, BETTER TOGETHER as a global church. Join all the congregations in the Rocky Mountain Synod as we learn and celebrate the ways we as the Evangelical Lutheran Church in American are accompanying our brothers and sisters around the world through ELCA Global Mission, Companion Synod, World Hunger, and Young Adults in Global Mission.  The year 2017 is the commemoration of the 500 years of Reformation of the Lutheran Church. The name of the  program is  RE-FORMATION - THEN, NOW, ALWAYS. Lutherans and Roman Catholics are joining together in common commemoration of the Reformation. Bishop Gonia of the Rocky Mountain Synod has extended an invitation to the Roman Catholic Dioceses that overlap our territory to share in ecumenical commemorations, which will take the form of Common Prayer, using a resource prepared by the Liturgical Task Force of the Lutheran-Roman Catholic Commission on Unity. Prayer services. The closest one to ASM will be in Salt Lake City, October 8, 2017, at 3:00pm. Place to be announced at a later date.

The Rocky Mountain Synod has produced a 5-part video series entitled "Claiming Our Gifts." It can be found on the front page of the website. For further information you can call 303-777-6700  or email
